The mission of St. Stephen’s Youth Programs is to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in education, employment and opportunity through long-term relationships with youth and their families and communities.
Our out-of-school time programs keep young people safe and healthy within a supportive community and strengthen critical thinking through academics and enrichment.
Our teen and alumni programs provide teens and young adults with the tools they need to achieve their own academic and career goals.
Our community organizing and engagement programs equip young people and their families to build power and make material changes to their communities.
Our Model:
Long-term relationships. We all know what they mean to us. Comfort, support, feeling known for who we really are. That’s what we at St. Stephen’s Youth Programs provide to our young people and their families. Long-term relationships give students a vision for the future, and the tools and direction they need to get there.
We’re not a drop-in program. We’re a place where young people come every day because of what they find here:
year-round academic support and enrichment activities;
social and emotional support (SES) to help them navigate stress and trauma;
fun with friends, whether art projects indoors or outside games;
a home-cooked, hot meal
teen jobs plus college + career coaching
people who know them, trust them and believe in them.
